The President of the National Council for Women, Counselor Amal Ammar, held a meeting with Dr. Mona Mourad, Founder of the CEO Women Conference and CEO of On Air Group, in the presence of Ms.Asmaa Baghdadi, Director-General of the Technical Office of the Council President, and Ms. Alaa El-Shaaer from the Technical Office.
During the meeting, Counselor Amal Ammar emphasized the Council’s commitment to highlighting outstanding Egyptian female role models in scientific and economic fields, and to strengthening cooperation with the private sector to further support women’s empowerment. She also pointed to the important role of the Egyptian Gender Equality Seal (EGES) in promoting fair, safe, and motivating working environments for women within companies, contributing to increased female economic participation as a key pillar of sustainable development. She reaffirmed the Council’s dedication to supporting initiatives led by women and girls in alignment with the Women’s Empowerment Strategy 2030.
For her part, Dr. Mona Mourad highlighted the importance of expanding collaboration between the public and private sectors to enhance the participation of Egyptian women in various scientific fields locally and internationally. She noted the growing interest within the private sector in supporting and empowering women, in addition to the vital role of media in showcasing women’s achievements and projects.
